The Fashion Design Council Of India is all set with it’s Spring summer’19 Fashion week to be commenced from October 10 to 13th at Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium.
What’s new this year:
1. The FDCI has a new title sponsor this year. Bidding goodbye to “Amazon” as a title sponsor to the India Fashion Week.
2. Lotus Make-up is the new title sponsor for this season. So, now the event has been rechristened as the Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2019, LMIFW SS’19.

3. FDCI to strengthen its partnership with the Embassy of Japan. It has announced to showcase Japanese designer, Atsushi Nakashima collection.
Interestingly, he worked as an assistant designer with Jean Paul Gaultier and in 2011 came back to his country of origin, Japan to launch his own brand, Atsushi Nakashima. He has also showcased at Milan Fashion Week in the past.
H.E. Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu, Ambassador of Japan to India said,“FDCI and
the Embassy of Japan has been enjoying a great partnership with each other, and
I have been discussing with Mr Sunil Sethi, President of FDCI, how to promote and
expand exchanges between the fashion industries of India and Japan. Moving
forward in this direction, it is our great pleasure to introduce Mr Atsushi Nakashima,
a promising Japanese fashion designer, to the Lotus Make-Up India Fashion Week in
association with NEXA Spring Summer 2019.”
